My giclée prints are archival museum-standard reproductions of my original art. They are made on artist quality canvas using a professional large-format printer with fade-resistant, long-lasting UV inks. He uses a Colorspan printer with eleven inks to create prints with extraordinary color intensity and tonal range.
First the original painting is scanned or digitally photographed to produce a very high resolution file. Then a proof is made and matched against the original. After I approve the proof, the final image is printed on canvas and stretched around extra-wide stretchers so that no frame is required. The results are amazing, such that people often think the print is an original painting, not a reproduction.
