I titled this painting "The Nature of Things" because it made me feel in touch with nature—with the heart and fluidity of life itself.  My inspiration for this particular piece was the excitement of melding the darker blues and blue-greens with the startling contrast of the whites.  I used a palette knife as well as a brush to create the blended colors.  The touch of orange sets off the composition, and the dark lines accentuate the shapes.
